Two Glass Pavilions explore how contemporary architecture can coexist with a historic landscape through transparency, restrained materiality, and careful placement.

Set within the historic Știrbey Domain in Buftea, Romania, the pavilions establish a subtle dialogue between old and new. Their lightweight, transparent character frames views of the park, lake, and mature trees while preserving the visual continuity and cultural identity of this remarkable estate. The Știrbey Domain itself dates back to the 19th century and is defined by its historic palace, extensive parkland, centuries-old trees, and lake setting.

Două noi școli sunt în construcție în dezvoltările și din București. Arhitecții și inginerii implicați în proiecte spun, într-un interviu pentru EduPedu , că rolul unei școli s-a schimbat radical față de acum câteva decenii. Nu mai este suficient ca o clădire să găzduiască procesul educațional. Ea trebuie să îl stimuleze.

„Deja nu mai proiectezi clădiri, ci încerci să formezi niște ecosisteme educaționale pentru copiii respectivi. Trebuie să înțelegi, practic, modul în care colaborează elevii, profesorii, care este puțin diferit față de școlile clasice. Ei au nevoie de mai multe interacțiuni acum și au nevoie de o flexibilitate a spațiilor care trebuie să răspundă atât unor metode de predare aflate într-o continuă transformare cât și să poată fi adaptate la nevoile generațiilor viitoare”, spune Mariana Turcu, CEO al X Architecture & Engineering .
