Joaca este prima formă de creativitate.

În joacă, copiii construiesc lumi, inventează povești, transformă obiecte obișnuite în comori și găsesc posibilități acolo unde adulții văd doar reguli. Ei nu creează pentru a fi apreciați și nu se tem să greșească. Creează din curiozitate, din bucurie și din dorința naturală de a explora.

Poate că cea mai mare lecție pe care ne-o oferă copiii este aceasta: creativitatea înflorește atunci când există libertate. Libertatea de a încerca, de a imagina, de a schimba și de a privi lumea cu ochi noi.

De Ziua Copilului, sărbătoresc puterea jocului și a imaginației – acea sursă de creativitate care există în fiecare dintre noi și care merită păstrată vie, indiferent de vârstă. ✨🎨💛

Part of my Unreliable Landscapes series, this triptych was created in 2021, at the beginning of a body of work exploring landscapes that exist somewhere between memory, imagination, and place.

The three canvases merge into a continuous landscape, unfolding like a story told in three chapters. To evoke the textures of harvested fields and winding valleys, I combined oil paint with flax strings and gold leaf, creating a surface that shifts between painting and relief.

The gold traces the terrain like light caught in the land—part memory, part invention, part landscape.

Dacă ar fi să investești astăzi într-o singură abilitate pentru viitor, alege creativitatea.

Nu pentru că toți trebuie să devenim artiști, ci pentru că lumea are nevoie de oameni care pot imagina soluții noi, pot pune întrebări diferite și pot vedea oportunități acolo unde alții văd doar limite.

Creativitatea nu înseamnă perfecțiune. Înseamnă curajul de a experimenta, de a greși, de a încerca din nou. Înseamnă să te joci cu ideile, să fii curios, să creezi ceva ce nu exista înainte — fie că este un tablou, o afacere, o conversație, un proiect sau un nou mod de a trăi.

În epoca inteligenței artificiale, informația este la îndemâna tuturor. Ceea ce va face diferența este felul unic în care gândești, imaginezi și creezi.

Așa că desenează, scrie, dansează, construiește, inventează, pune întrebări și lasă-ți imaginația să aibă spațiu. Creativitatea nu este un lux și nici un talent rezervat câtorva oameni. Este o capacitate umană care se dezvoltă prin practică.

Iar fiecare moment în care creezi ceva este un moment în care îți antrenezi viitorul. ✨

Back in 2016, I was working on a series of life-size oil paintings of female n**es. Since then, I’ve been fascinated by the female form in resting postures. I even wrote a PhD on the representation of the female n**e in the art world. More recently, I’ve transitioned toward abstract landscapes that subtly evoke the resting body in its lateral position.

Consistency is the only reason I am still here, still finding inspiration in the small details and quiet joys of life.

I remain deeply in love with what I do and grateful for it every day.

Toată lumea vorbește despre diversificarea investițiilor, iar arta poate fi o opțiune valoroasă pentru cei care privesc pe termen lung. Alegerea unor artiști aflați la început de drum, încă nedescoperiți de piață, poate reprezenta o investiție inspirată, deoarece valoarea lucrărilor lor are potențialul de a crește odată cu evoluția carierei lor.

Probabil că aceasta este și povestea multor artiști ale căror opere se vând astăzi cu milioane de dolari. Diferența este că, spre deosebire de alte investiții, arta poate fi admirată în fiecare zi, aducând frumusețe, emoție și personalitate spațiului în care trăiești.

A cumpăra artă înseamnă să investești atât într-un obiect cu valoare estetică, cât și în creativitatea și viitorul unui artist. Uneori, cele mai bune investiții sunt cele care îți aduc bucurie încă din prima zi. ✨

SERENDIPITY

Serendipity is a body of work created between 2025 and 2026, employing mixed-media techniques that combine oil and acrylic paint with inserts of vintage book pages, textured surfaces, and impasto applications. Executed in small and medium formats (30 × 40 cm and 50 × 70 cm), the series explores the relationship between memory, perception, and landscape.

Each composition originates from landscapes encountered and observed by the artist during travels and everyday experiences. Rather than depicting these places literally, the works reinterpret them through a personal and emotional lens, transforming recognizable scenery into abstract visual narratives. Color, texture, and gesture become vehicles for conveying atmosphere, sensation, and subjective experience rather than descriptive detail.

The incorporation of pages from old books introduces traces of time, memory, and hidden narratives, creating subtle connections between place and personal history. Layered textures and relief elements enhance the tactile quality of the paintings, while thick impasto passages preserve the immediacy of the artistic gesture. Through the accumulation of materials and marks, each work becomes a site of discovery, where fragments of reality merge with imagination and recollection.

The title Serendipity refers to the unexpected joy of finding something meaningful by chance. In this series, moments of encounter with a landscape, a particular light, or a fleeting atmosphere become the starting point for intuitive exploration and transformation. The works invite viewers to engage in their own process of interpretation, discovering personal associations, emotions, and memories within the abstract language of the paintings.

„Cum ajung niște picturi care par aproape haotice să se vândă cu milioane?”

Cecily Brown este una dintre cele mai puternice voci din pictura contemporană și un exemplu perfect de cm funcționează arta astăzi.

La prima vedere, lucrările ei par un amestec de corpuri, gesturi și culori în explozie. Aproape ca și cm ceva se întâmplă în timp real pe pânză, dar nu poți „citi” clar scena.

Și tocmai asta le face valoroase.

Brown combină abstractul cu figurativul: vezi fragmente de corpuri, mișcare, er***sm, violență, dar nimic nu e complet explicat. Creierul tău completează restul.

În lumea artei contemporane, nu mai contează doar „ce vezi”, ci cât de mult te face să simți și cât de mult te obligă să te uiți din nou.

Colecționarii plătesc milioane nu pentru claritate, ci pentru energie, tensiune și semnătură artistică recognoscibilă.

Și Cecily Brown are exact asta: un haos controlat pe care îl recunoști imediat, chiar dacă nu îl poți explica.

I don’t really go into nature to “find inspiration.”
I just end up there, quiet, slightly lost, noticing things I usually ignore. 🌿

Light on rocks, weird textures on tree bark, the way silence actually has layers.
I don’t try to translate it right away — it just stays somewhere in me until it shows up on a canvas later, a bit distorted, a bit honest.

Maybe that’s it: I don’t paint nature. I paint what it leaves behind in me.

Social media has changed the way artists are seen — sometimes turning them into content creators rather than just artists. There’s pressure to be visible, to be viral, to constantly make the process look exciting.

But the reality in the studio is very different. It’s slower, quieter, more repetitive. Not every moment is “Instagram-worthy”, but every step matters.

That’s why I choose to film my process as it is — not for spectacle, but for honesty. What you see is not performance. It’s real painting, in real time.
