ANNABELLA RETAIL PARK – STORE RESET DESIGN
Dem Rădulescu Street, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Romania
The Annabella Retail Park project represents a comprehensive store reset and retail design optimization, developed to enhance both the customer experience and the overall operational efficiency of the supermarket.
The new concept focuses on creating a clearer, more intuitive and visually coherent retail environment, while strengthening the Annabella brand identity throughout the space. The existing layout was reconsidered in order to improve customer circulation, product visibility and the relationship between the main commercial areas.
A key objective of the reset design was the optimization of the store layout and customer journey. Product categories were reorganized to create a natural shopping sequence, with clearly defined departments and improved visual connections across the sales floor. Strategic positioning of key categories and promotional areas helps guide customers through the store while encouraging exploration and increasing product exposure.
The design introduces a consistent architectural language based on warm wood elements, dark structural accents and integrated signage, creating a contemporary yet welcoming atmosphere. The open ceiling and linear lighting system reinforce the spatial rhythm of the store, while the department signage provides clear orientation and improves navigation.
Special attention was given to the fresh produce and high-traffic areas, where visibility, accessibility and product presentation play an essential role in the overall shopping experience. Fixtures and displays were organized to maintain generous circulation paths while maximizing merchandising capacity and maintaining a clean visual perspective throughout the store.
The entrance area was also designed as an important transition point, providing customers with an immediate overview of the retail space and establishing the visual identity of the new concept from the first interaction.
Overall, the Annabella Retail Park reset combines layout optimization, improved wayfinding, efficient merchandising and a refreshed interior identity. The result is a more functional, flexible and customer-oriented retail environment, designed to support both the operational requirements of the store and the evolving expectations of contemporary shoppers.
