The Muuto Outline Sofa adds new perspectives to the classic Scandinavian design sofas of the 1960s, marrying the ideals of simplicity and function into one.

Combined, these two principles translate into elegance and timelessness, elevated by lines referencing architectural shapes alongside its curved armrests, giving the design a distinct appearance across various sizes and variants.

Most people know the classic Eames shell chair, but the "La Fonda" series has a special twist. In 1961, legendary textile designer Alexander Girard was designing the interior of the La Fonda del Sol restaurant in New York City. But he had a problem.

Back then, standard dining chairs were too tall. When tucked in, the backs stuck up above the table, cluttering the view of the dining room. His close friends Charles and Ray Eames immediately came up with a solution.

They modified their fiberglass shell, slicing the top off to create a lower, sleeker profile that sat flush with the table edge. Then paired it with a unique cast-aluminum base, and the Eames La Fonda was born.

A perfect example of form following function (and friendship).

In the Romanian tricolor, Yellow stands for the golden fields of grain and the symbol of justice, a beacon of light and prosperity. But for us at Project1, this color hits even closer to home.

Yellow is the heartbeat of our brand identity, standing proudly alongside Black and White. It represents the energy and optimism we carry into every single project.
On this National Day, we are incredibly proud of our Romanian roots. From this foundation, we’ve grown to export our expertise across the continent, successfully delivering complex projects in more than 9 European countries.

La mulți ani, România! Here’s to building a brighter future, together.

We recently contributed to the completion of the new Henkel office in Bucharest, within the Skanska Equilibrium 2 building. Project1 supplied part of the standard furniture and acoustic cabins for the 1,800 sqm workspace, including selected items from Vitra, chosen to support the overall interior concept.

The space is designed for comfort, efficiency and a clear visual identity that reflects Henkel’s way of working. We valued the opportunity to help shape an environment ready for focused work and collaboration.

Last week, we hosted the final Design Connect event of the year, bringing together architects and designers for an evening dedicated to light.

We had the pleasure of highlighting Occhio, a brand we exclusively represent in Romania. Together, we explored how light transforms a space, through temperature, colour, focus and positioning, and how different lighting solutions can create distinct moods, from an office to an art gallery or to a dinner setting. We were guided by Vitaly Chmil, Occhio Sales Manager for Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and we look forward to seeing you again soon in our showroom.

Although our main focus is office fit-out projects, we’re glad to share a recent healthcare collaboration that shows how our work can adapt to different environments. For the Umana Fertility clinic in The Bridge II building in Bucharest, we delivered complete fit-out services and provided both custom-made and standard furniture from brands such as Vitra, Actiu and Muuto.

This project reflects our attention to detail and ability to create well-designed, functional spaces that meet specific needs, whether for work or for care.
