Temos novidades!
Há momentos em que crescer também significa voltar a olhar para nós próprios.Foi isso que fizemos.

Depois de quase uma década de projetos, lugares, desafios, pessoas e histórias, percebemos que a imagem da Something Imaginary já não contava tudo aquilo que somos hoje.

Resolvemos mudar o look sem mudar aquilo em que acreditamos.
Continuamos a acreditar numa arquitetura profundamente ligada ao lugar, à luz, aos materiais, à paisagem e principalmente à forma como as pessoas habitam e sentem os espaços.

Mudou a forma como nos mostramos ao mundo e nos adaptamos a esta evolução constante.

Esta nova identidade nasce do caminho que já fizemos, mas também de tudo aquilo que ainda queremos imaginar e fazer convosco.
Vai chegar devagar ao nosso site, às redes sociais, às apresentações e aos diferentes lugares onde a Something Imaginary vive.

Quase dez anos depois, continuamos com a mesma vontade de sempre:
imaginar.
projetar.
construir.
e fazer com que cada lugar conte uma história e crie uma memória

A imagem é nova.
A essência é a mesma.

What will this material look like in ten years?

It is a question worth asking before choosing it today.

Because materiality is not simply about colour, texture or how a surface photographs when a project is completed.

It is about what happens next.

How stone responds to time.
How wood develops character.
How a surface interacts with light.
How a material belongs to its climate and surroundings.
And how beautifully it can age without constantly needing to be replaced.

For us, this is also where luxury and sustainability begin to share the same language: in materials selected not for immediate impact, but for quality, authenticity and permanence.

Architecture should not only look considered on the day it is finished.

It should become richer through time.

We are delighted to be featured once again in Anteprojectos magazine, this time with our project SUNSET 23.

A private residence located in Brejos da Carregueira, Setúbal, conceived around the relationship between architecture, landscape and natural light. Its simple volumes and natural material palette come together to create a contemporary and serene way of living, deeply connected to its surroundings.

This feature is also another opportunity to share the work developed by Sara Afonso and João Resende, and the vision that guides every Something Imaginary Architects project: designing from context, while respecting the identity of each place and those who inhabit it.

Thank you to Anteprojectos for continuing to give architecture a platform and for allowing us, once again, to share our work.

ARCHITECTURE IS MADE OF DECISIONS.

Where a building meets the land.
How natural light enters a room.
Which views are framed — and which remain private.

Architecture is shaped by choices that go far beyond aesthetics.

Orientation influences light and thermal comfort. Proportion changes the way we perceive a space. Materials affect atmosphere and permanence. And the presence of nature — even within an urban context — can transform how a place feels and how we experience it.

At Something Imaginary Architects, these decisions are considered as part of one whole: place, architecture, nature and human experience.

In Comporta, architecture should never compete with the landscape. It should become part of it.

At Brejos da Carregueira House, every decision was guided by this relationship — from the way the house sits within the site and the scale of its volumes, to the use of natural light and materials chosen to age gracefully over time.

The result is a quiet, timeless architecture, shaped by its surroundings and designed to be lived.
