Blending Heritage and Contemporary Living

Located in Sete-Rios, Lisbon, this project redefines urban integration by merging historical preservation with modern spaces. The conceptual strategy is anchored in the careful rehabilitation of an 18th-century manor house, preserving its original stonework, arcaded loggia, and cultural identity.

Seamlessly complementing this heritage, the newly designed blocks feature a light, functional architecture defined by curved balconies and expansive glazed surfaces.
By adapting to the complex topography, the project establishes a tranquil green haven protected from city noise, while offering privileged, unobstructed views over the Monsanto Forest Park.

Architecture is born from a continuous encounter and exchange of ideas. Starting September 18th, "REFLEXO" takes to the public space to share three decades of our practice. We believe a building is more than an idea on paper; it elevates itself when confronted with reality and human use.

We invite you to walk our path, because our architecture belongs on the street (our street in this case), not in a museum.

Urban Renewal

DUO Hotel Lisbon stands as the central architectural element in a broader urban transformation, redefining the block between Rua da Boavista and Rua Dom Luís I. The project introduces two new volumes that frame a generous inner garden, echoing an urban plan that establishes a clear pedestrian framework, reorganizes circulation, and reinforces permeability throughout the neighborhood.

With a contemporary yet measured presence, the hotel opens its transparent ground floor to the public space, sustaining an active relationship with the city. The upper levels house the rooms, oriented towards the serene interior garden to benefit from controlled light, natural shading, and acoustic comfort. Its facades articulate a calm rhythm of vertical and horizontal elements, allowing the building to seamlessly integrate into the scale and character of its traditional surroundings.

Landscape design serves as the unifying thread, extending the hotel's identity into the public realm. Along Rua Dom Luís I, the redesigned public square and the atmospheric inner garden create accessible civic moments, transforming the DUO Hotel Lisbon into a refined destination and a true catalyst for the area's renewal.

The Rhythm of RED in BLUE

RED in BLUE challenges conventional forms by exploring the profound interplay between rhythm and volumetry. Through a careful sequence of solid masses and intentional voids, the project introduces a distinct visual cadence that brings the facade to life. This dynamic arrangement of volumes goes beyond aesthetics, optimizing natural light and promoting spatial fluidity. It is an architectural response that transforms static geometry into a continuous dialogue with its surrounding environment.

Our project for Duo Telheiras in Lisbon represents a strategic intervention aimed at adding value to the surrounding urban fabric. Comprising two residential blocks with seven floors above ground and three basement levels for parking, the development is dedicated to high-quality housing. The conceptual approach introduces a contemporary aesthetic, contrasting white prefabricated GRC elements with expansive glass windows. To mitigate noise from the adjacent Av. Cidade de Praga, the buildings are strategically oriented with their narrowest facades facing the avenue. The integration of exterior blinds and interior roller screens provides thermal control and dynamic visual movement on the facade, ensuring both environmental efficiency and resident privacy.

Redefining Workspace and Urban Connectivity in Entrecampos

As the traditional office landscape evolves, the Entrecampos development provides flexible, high-standard environments designed to attract and retain top talent. Located between Campo Grande and Campo Pequeno, this mixed-use project introduces autonomous office volumes that maintain a sensitive scale relative to the adjacent residential areas. Realized alongside Fosun Hive Iberia and Fidelidade, and co-authored with architecture partners KPF, the design incorporates stepped facades with generous green terraces, allowing users to enjoy outdoor spaces and city views while working.

Furthermore, the project targets LEED Platinum certification through rigorous environmental performance modeling, ensuring a resilient and healthy infrastructure. By establishing a new commercial neighborhood integrated with public transport hubs, the development creates a permeable, sustainable, and highly connected urban center for Lisbon.
