A storefront is only a few metres wide. Building a world inside it is a very different story.

Every element of the Hermès installation was developed to work within a precise spatial composition, from the scale of the characters to the position of each product.
Fused glass, woven elements, fabrics and sculptural forms were brought together to create a setting that feels almost weightless, while every detail still has a clear physical function.

When the grand world of haute couture meets the unyielding matter of craftsmanship, stories are born that stop time in the very heart of the city.

We are proud to present our project for Hermès – 6 original storefronts (2 in Warsaw and 4 in Prague), realized by LUDISM (NOKE Architects + Ola Niepsuj ). Aligning with this year’s global theme of the Parisian fashion house - Venture Beyond - we reached into the deepest layers of European heritage.

The return of the stork, heralding rebirth and prosperity, became a poetic metaphor for crossing boundaries, freedom and an incessant journey beyond the horizon. It is a dialogue between ancient legends and uncompromising, contemporary design.

The steel louvers give the bedrooms control over light and privacy.

Their sculptural profile allows them to open and close throughout the day, changing the amount of light entering the rooms and creating different patterns of shadow across the interiors.

A functional element that also becomes part of the architecture.

The steep terrain became an important part of the design, shaping how the house opens towards its surroundings.

Large glazed surfaces bring the landscape deep into the interiors, while the terraces and open spaces extend the house towards the vegetation, rock and views of Mallorca.

The boundary between the house and its surroundings changes throughout the day, with light, views and greenery constantly becoming part of the spaces.

Light enters the house from both sides, revealing the changing character of the spaces throughout the day.

The staircase connects the different levels of the house, while stone, glass and timber create a sequence of textures and reflections as you move through the interiors.

Views of the landscape appear throughout the house, framed by architecture, glass and vegetation.

The steep site shaped the way the spaces are arranged, creating different levels and perspectives towards the surrounding landscape. Large openings bring light and views deep into the house.

Back to Mallorca.

We designed this 500 sqm family house on a steep rocky site near Palma. When we first visited the plot, it was difficult to imagine how a house could be placed here. The terrain was too steep for a conventional approach, so we decided to work with the rock rather than attach the building directly to the slope.

The house rests on a natural rock ledge, opening towards the landscape and the Mediterranean horizon. Terraces, courtyards and large openings connect the different levels with their surroundings.

The project was first published in 2019. Now, years later, we returned to Mallorca to photograph the house in its completed form.

Over the next few posts, we’ll share more from the project, including its relationship with the landscape, the materials, the pool and the details that shape the interiors.

In Pasym, architecture grows out of its surroundings.

Natural materials, warm textures and large openings connect the house with the landscape, bringing the colours and changing light of the outdoors into the interiors.

The result is a home shaped by its setting, where architecture and nature remain closely connected throughout the seasons.
