Arla Arla Global Shared Services for Arla Foods globally. We work the Scandinavian way!

5 PM. Laptop closed.

And then? Well… 🚒
Meet Michał next week. 👀

Unexpected phone call? 📞

Pick up right away? Need a moment to prepare? Or… would rather get a message first?

We asked different generations how they feel about calls and texts. The differences were clear. Preferences, habits, even punctuation styles. That is a lot!

For us, it’s about making room for those differences and making them work together. 💚 We collaborate across teams and markets in Gdańsk, and with that, every channel has its moment...or every generation! We do not make you pick one style.

So, where do you stand?
Team “just call me” or team “please text first”?

Different generations bring different career priorities.

For some, it’s stability. 🤝
For others, growth. 📈
For many, it’s simply the people they spend their days with. 👥

At Arla Global Shared Services in Gdańsk, we asked what really matters at work and let’s just say… there wasn’t one “correct” answer.

And honestly? We like it that way. 💚

Because at Arla in Gdańsk, it’s not about fitting into one model.
It’s about making room for different ones and making them fit under one roof. 🏠

That’s what really means to us.

What matters most to you at work right now? 👀

👍 Stability
❤️ People & atmosphere
😆 Development
😮 Still figuring it out

Leave a reaction and tell us!

The move is underway 🚚✨

While we’re gradually settling into our new office, we’ve been revisiting some memories from the previous one.

Right now the move is happening step by step. Teams are relocating, boxes are being unpacked, and day by day more of us are joining the new space.

We’re really looking forward to the moment when the whole team will finally be working there together. At the same time, it’s a bit sentimental to look back at the office where so many moments like this happened. 🥹✨

On March 18th, we had the chance to run a workshop at the Faculty of Modern Languages at the University of Gdańsk all about “Language in the Corporate World”.

We talked about how language skills can actually open doors at Arla and what using them in a corporate environment looks like in real life. Hopefully, “corporate” doesn’t sound that scary anymore 😉

Big thanks to everyone who showed up — we were honestly so positively surprised by the turnout! 💛

Work-life balance. For some, it’s simple.
It’s 4 PM. Laptop closed. Day is done. Bye bye! ✋

For others, the term didn’t even exist when they started working. Balance? You just… worked.
And then there are those who guard their calendar like treasure and protect every free evening. 👀

In Gdańsk, we see all of it, and somehow, it works. 💚
Well, not somehow. We make space for different approaches and agree on one thing: when the work is done, it’s done.

So tell us, how do you see work-life balance? 😉

13/03/2026

We’re super excited about our new office, but there are definetly few things that we might miss from the old one.

Check out what we might get a little nostalgic about. 👀

How much time do you actually spend on your phone each day? 📱

Different generations love to blame each other for being “always online”.
Too much scrolling. Too many apps. Too attached.

But if we’re honest? Most of us are checking something more than often. 😉 (like this post, this very second!)
The differences aren't really that big if we find the common in them!

So let’s make it official.
What’s your daily screen time looking like? Drop a screenshot in the comments 👇

From rotary phones to Nokia 3310 to today’s smartphones, every generation learned to communicate differently. ☎️📱

At Arla Global Shared Services in Gdańsk, we see that every day.
When teams support markets across countries and time zones 🌍, communication isn’t just a detail. It keeps projects moving and processes running.

That’s why we focus on understanding each other.
Not the channel, or the generation, but the outcome. 💚

That’s part of what looks like in practice.

Now we’re curious 👀
What’s your go-to communication style at work?
Quick messages, a proper call, or face-to-face clarity?

Tell us in the comments 👇
