Recently someone asked if I had any photos from the process of building the fortress gameboard, so here’s the answer — I do have a few, and I’ll be sharing them over the next few days.
But for now, here are some timelapse shots from the early stages of the build ☺️

After a short break caused by our trip with our sister brand to , we’re back in the trenches.

The sliced files are ready, so take a look at another one—and we’re still looking for brave souls willing to join the Trench Ark crusade... ⚔️

While working on the new store — over the last 4 years, bit by bit — I’ve done dozens of photo sessions and taken hundreds of shots that will never be fully used. So they’re just sitting there, slowly gathering dust on my drive 🙂

I also like to play around with editing them from time to time, and with today’s AI tools, you can get some really epic, almost cinematic results.

So here’s a question for you — would you be interested in something like that?
Should I post 2 per week on social media? Or maybe a few as part of a monthly blog article?

And what would you even call a series like this?
I was thinking about things like:
Photo of the Week #1, From the SL Archive #1, From the SL Chronicle #2… but honestly, none of them feel quite right 😅

Maybe you’ve got a better idea — let me know what you think about the whole concept. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll even turn some of these into printed art…

:D

p.s Anyway, just me talking to my undiagnosed ADHD for a moment 😄 so thankls a lot for your opinion. Back to work now — the store is getting close, so keep an eye out here >> https://studiolevel.com.pl 💪

Looks like yesterday’s Middle-Earth mini terrain map post is doing pretty well, so here’s a little extra for you 😄

During the photo session with my buddy Lukasz Michalik, his friend Endrju Endrju dropped by and grabbed a few shots 🎥

p.s. It’s a shame the project only included basic painting — but honestly, I’ll never forget this one anyway 😄

Today we’ve got something completely crazy for you (well… that’s kind of our specialty 😄).

Do you remember the map of Middle-earth?
If not, let me fill you in…

A guy named Chris reached out to me, and after just three emails it turned out that he and his friends had created their own custom system set in the world of The Lord of the Rings. To run their campaign, they needed a map — a big one. A solid chunk of Tolkien’s Middle-earth, with around 20 key locations marked. From the Misty Mountains all the way to Mordor.

In the end, it became 24 modules, each 60x60 cm (2’x2’).
The entire terrain was hand-sculpted. All the mountain ranges were shaped from foam and polyurethane, while the locations themselves were built as separate puzzle pieces — mostly combining SLA 3D prints with polyurethane elements.

This project was a real challenge for me — and a turning point. It’s actually the reason I got my first 3D printer (not counting the old FormLabs setup from 2017… but that’s a story for another time 😅). Not to mention the logistics — everything had to safely travel from Poland to the US.

But as you can see, it all worked out. The guys were happy — and that’s what matters most to me.

So if you’ve got any crazy terrain ideas in your head… you know where to find me..☺️

Recently, I got a few photos from Myles, who invested in our very first table for Trench Crusade. That decision pushed me to expand the whole idea — and that’s how Trench Ark was born.😄

Now, we can all print these models at home, which is honestly pretty amazing. 🥹

I’m moving on to the next stage, so stay tuned! — this is just the beginning. And you, crusader, pilgrim, or heretic… if you want to join our crusade, check the link in the comments. 💪

p.s. I’m sending out test files to new Trench Ark backers today, and by next week the terrain files should be ready — pre-cut and optimized for easy printing.

Did a bit of holiday cleanup on my phone and found this 😄 And then I realized… I never actually showed you this project — so here it is!

I was testing some FDM printers with polyurethane and polystyrene mix and honestly, it came out pretty great, right? 😊

Let me know if you want to see more shots — even though it’s still missing a few details in these pics. 💪
