Why Double-Height Lobbies Cost More Despite Having No Slabs
A double-height lobby does not mean discounted construction. While you save on horizontal concrete, structural demands increase elsewhere. Large architectural voids require heavy perimeter support beams with high-gauge reinforcement steel, alongside double-height scaffolding that elevates formwork, plastering, and electrical costs. Deducting void square footage simply shifts the same structural expenses across a smaller covered area footprint, marginally increasing the net per-square-foot cost. True billing must reflect actual material consumption.
We don't build structures, we build trust.
