A quick update, as we know Pak&Indian regions were hit with unprecedented monsoon, all rivers were and are over flowing. Connected landscape; crops and houses to rivers are devastated.
One of houses came in contact with large amount of water was designed and constructed by me so owner called in distress for a quick consultation. Problem was soil from one corner of property was swept away leaving part of foundation exposed hanging in air.
Though worried i was, but after a quick inspection for any structural cracks and floor damages we were relived to see there was non ( Thank God). A simple fix to refill that small part with sand suggested by engineer.
Now lets discuss the real problem; its in practice, a very large percentage of house owners dont feel important to involve a trade specialist when it comes to construction and even designing. Resultantly they get to live resolving faults, losing money, peace of mind and in some cases losing property all of a sudden.
Conclusion: Please consult with specialist, and listen to what consultant suggests.
