Position Available:
Senior architect with minimum 10 years experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Architectural Design: Lead the conceptualization, development, and implementation of architectural designs for a variety of projects, considering factors such as functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to define project scopes, establish timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress. Ensure timely completion of architectural deliverables, and actively participate in design reviews and project meetings.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of architectural principles, construction methodologies, and materials. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually enhance architectural design capabilities and provide innovative solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, address concerns, and develop design proposals that meet their expectations. Present design concepts, provide clear explanations, and obtain feedback to refine and finalize architectural plans.
Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects, promoting their professional growth and development. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to foster a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and effective communication.
Documentation and Standards: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant standards. Review and approve architectural designs, construction documents, and material samples to maintain quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify that construction activities align with architectural plans and specifications. Identify and resolve design conflicts or discrepancies, and propose solutions to maintain project integrity.
Cost Management: Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop budget estimates, control costs, and optimize resource allocation. Seek opportunities to implement cost-effective design strategies without compromising architectural integrity or project objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
Significant experience as an architect, with a focus on complex projects and building types.
Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, construction techniques, and materials.
Proficiency in architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.
Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership qualities, including mentoring, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality architectural solutions.
Professional licensure or certification as an architect (depending on local requirements) is preferred.
