The Margalla Road (Avenue) extension is a major infrastructure project in Islamabad designed to connect the capital directly to the M-1 (Islamabad-Peshawar) Motorway and Margalla Road. The project scope includes a six-lane highway stretching approximately 5 kilometers.

The road serves as a primary artery for newly developing sectors such as D-12, C-13, C-14, C-15, and C-16, as well as various housing schemes like AWT, Wapda Town, C18, and B-17.
