Carbon Management Centre, Sindh Forest and Wildlife Training School, Miani, Hyderabad, is actively conducting laboratory analyses for the determination of carbon pools in forest soils using Modified Walkley–Black Method.
CMC is analyzing:
1. Total Soil Organic Carbon (SOC)
2. Carbon Fractionation into:
a. Very Labile Carbon
b. Labile Carbon
c. Less Labile Carbon
Understanding these carbon pools is essential for evaluating:
1. Soil health and fertility
2. Carbon sequestration potential
3. Forest ecosystem productivity
4. Climate change mitigation strategies
5. REDD+, ARR, and other forest carbon projects

The Carbon Management Centre is committed to generating reliable scientific data to support forest carbon accounting, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, nature-based solutions, and evidence-based forest management across Sindh.

Through modern analytical techniques and scientific research, we aim to strengthen Sindh’s capacity in carbon monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV), contributing to national and international climate commitments.
