Mayon is weird like that. You can know exactly what you’re about to see, and it can still catch you completely off guard.

These houses are in Norway, covered in moss, the heat never leaves, the cold only because it doesn't enter. This engineering was carried out by the ancient Viking inhabitants

For decades, piranhas have been portrayed as ruthless killers capable of stripping a human to the bone within minutes. 😨🐟

One story fueled that fear more than most. 👀

In 1976, a bus plunged into the Amazon River, killing 39 people. When rescuers recovered the bodies, several had been badly scavenged by piranhas — so badly that some victims could only be identified by their clothing. 💀🌊

The tragedy became legendary proof of the fish’s supposed bloodthirsty nature. 😱

But years later, biologist and River Monsters host Jeremy Wade decided to test the myth himself. 🎥🧪

First, he placed hungry piranhas in a pool and stirred the water with blood. He dangled raw meat in front of them to make sure they were actively feeding. 🩸🍖

Then he stepped into the water. 🚶‍♂️🌊

Nothing happened. 😳

The fish immediately moved away from him. No frenzy. No attack. 🐟➡️

He repeated the experiment again in open water with the same result. 🤯

Scientific research backs up what Wade observed. 📚✅

Studies of hundreds of piranha incidents in Brazil found that most attacks were minor defensive nips to hands or feet — usually when humans accidentally disturbed nests during breeding season. 🦶🐠

There is no verified scientific case of healthy, living humans being hunted down and devoured by piranhas. 🚫

The victims of the 1976 crash most likely drowned first. The piranhas were scavengers, not killers. 🌊⚰️

One of nature’s most feared predators may actually fear humans far more than humans fear it. 😮

In the end, the real danger wasn’t the fish.

It was the myth. 🧠🔥
