-Traditional Danish topping-off ceremony.

This traditional Danish celebration is held right after the roof framing (the rafters) is installed. It is also called roof-raising party. It marks the major milestone when the building reaches its full height, and it serves as a way to thank the carpenters and wish good luck to the future occupants.

Key Elements of a Rejsegilde:

* The Garland or Flag: A decorated wreath, garland, or a Danish flag (Dannebrog) is hoisted and attached to the top of the new roof frame.

* The Workers' Feast: The property owner or builder hosts a casual gathering for the craftspeople, contractors, and neighbors.

* Traditional Food & Drink: It is customary to serve simple, hearty foods like hot dogs (pølser) or warm meals along with beer and soda.

* Speeches: The master carpenter or the owner usually gives a short speech thanking everyone involved in the heavy lifting of the construction./
