This 3-storey steel warehouse is engineered for heavy-duty storage and manufacturing, optimized for a FORMAL BUILDING PERMIT, awarded as a GENERAL CONTRACT. The structural skeleton features high-grade wide-flange steel columns and beams integrated with a robust X-bracing system to ensure lateral stability against seismic and wind loads. Designed to support industrial operations, the frame includes a specialized pulley system for efficient vertical material transport between levels. The open floor plates are configured for high-load capacity, while the pitched roof promotes effective drainage. This professional model represents a signed and sealed engineering solution, prioritizing structural integrity and code compliance for long-term industrial use and high-clearance functionality.

ACADEMIC DESIGN SHOWCASE # 2 15 STOREY SCHOOL

This 15-storey reinforced concrete school building utilizes a robust lateral force-resisting system designed for high-occupancy seismic safety. Its structural skeleton features a dense grid of moment-resisting frames integrated with massive shear walls strategically placed at the corners and core. These vertical elements, highlighted in red, are engineered to provide maximum torsional stiffness and control inter-storey drift during lateral loading. The design employs a Response Spectrum Analysis (RSA) to accurately simulate the building's dynamic response to site-specific ground accelerations. Large, open floor diaphragms are supported by a uniform beam-column network, facilitating the wide-span layouts necessary for modern classrooms and facilities. To ensure stability, the shear wall distribution is optimized to align the center of mass with the center of rigidity. The resulting wireframe model depicts a resilient, high-rise engineering solution tailored for the safety and functional demands of an educational institution.

The structure is a large-scale, all-steel auditorium featuring a faceted, semi-elliptical footprint designed for wide-span functionality. Its roof system utilizes long-span open-web steel joists supported by a heavy central ridge beam to eliminate internal columns and maximize sightlines. These joists rest on a perimeter of wide-flange steel columns that vary in height to create a dual-pitch gable profile. Horizontal girts span between these columns to provide a secondary frame for exterior cladding and acoustic panels. To ensure lateral stability against wind and seismic loads, strategic bays are reinforced with visible X-bracing. The segmented, curved geometry of the frame suggests an interior layout optimized for tiered seating and a central focal point. Overall, the wireframe model depicts a robust engineering solution tailored for high-clearance, multi-purpose performance spaces.
