Traveling to Moscow this week!
And I'm really looking forward to finally experiencing a city I've come to know through its photographs, history, and architecture.
I've always been curious about places where buildings carry the weight of different eras. Moscow has undergone enormous political, cultural, and social changes, yet those layers remain visible throughout the city. I'm particularly interested in seeing how history, climate, scale, and contemporary life come together in its architecture and urban spaces.
I'm also looking forward to the conversations along the way and exploring where Russian and Philippine interests might find unexpected points of connection. Very different cultures and histories can sometimes make for the most interesting exchanges.
A small heads-up to friends, clients, and colleagues: communication may be a little more difficult while I’m in Russia, so I may not be able to respond to messages as quickly as usual. If you need to reach me, you can leave a message through the contact page on ianfulgar.com. For anything urgent, please contact the Fulgar Architects office directly.
For now, I'm keeping an open mind, staying curious, and making sure to make good memories.
Sometimes, the best way to understand architecture is to walk through it.
