Excellence in Action: DMCI's Successful 4th ISO Surveillance Audit ✨
D.M. Consunji, Inc. (DMCI) successfully completed the 4th Surveillance Audit of its Integrated Management System (IMS), covering the scope of Provision of Engineering & Construction Services, and Equipment Rental Services, and Provision of Ready-Mix Concrete.
Conducted by Certification International Philippines (CIP) from August 11 to 13, 2026, the audit covered selected project sites, namely the Pioneer Cold Storage Project, PGH MSB Phase 3 Project, Laya by Shang Project, and St. Luke’s Medical Center Project, as well as the DMCI Head Office.
The first two days of the audit focused on the project sites, where the implementation of core, support, environmental and occupational health and safety processes was evaluated. The successful outcome of the site audits reflects the thorough preparation, strong commitment, and effective implementation of the Integrated Management System by the project teams. Through these collective efforts, zero nonconformities were recorded across all four projects.
The third and final day of the audit focused on the DMCI Head Office and commenced with a short program hosted by Ms. Merissa Lanoso, DMCI’s Senior IMS Supervisor. Welcome Remarks were delivered by Mr. Junn-Yeu C. Lock, DMCI’s Special Assistant to the President, who welcomed the CIP audit team, composed of Mr. Justo Batoon, Jr., Mr. Edgardo Eleria, and Mr. Arnel Maestre. He also encouraged the DMCI team to approach the audit with the seriousness and purpose befitting DMCI’s reputation.
The assessment centered on the evaluation of the Head Office's key management processes, including Context of the Organization, Risks and Opportunities Assessment and Action Plan, Management Review, Competence and Worker’s Consultation, Compliance Obligations, Customer Satisfaction, Internal Audit, Emergency Preparedness and Response, Admin Services and QA/QC, with personnel from the Head Office, CPBU, and EMG participating as auditees. The successful assessment underscored the effectiveness of the organization's leadership, proactive risk management, and culture of continual improvement, highlighting the robustness of DMCI's Integrated Management System and its sustained commitment to operational excellence.
The audit formally concluded with the Closing Meeting, during which the CIP Audit Team presented the audit results. The auditors affirmed the effectiveness of DMCI’s Integrated Management System and recommended the continuation of its certification.
To formally conclude the three-day audit activity, Mr. Dwight A. Ta-ala, DMCI Operations Director, delivered the Closing Remarks. In his message, he underscored the significance of the surveillance audit in reinforcing a culture of excellence, compliance, and continual improvement across the organization. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the CIP audit team for their professional assessment, constructive feedback, and valuable insights, which serve as important inputs to DMCI's continuing journey toward operational excellence and sustained business performance.
With zero nonconformities recorded and its certification recommended for continuation, DMCI's 4th ISO Surveillance Audit stands as a testament to the dedication and collective efforts of its teams. This achievement reinforces DMCI's commitment to excellence, accountability, and the consistent delivery of quality across all its operations.
