As part of its continuing commitment to corporate social responsibility, EEI Corporation, through its EEI CARES initiative, conducted two simultaneous community outreach activities benefiting local tricycle drivers in Barangay Pulvorista, Kawit, Cavite, as well as EEI employees and community residents from areas surrounding its nearby project sites.
One of the activities was a medical mission that provided free healthcare services to EEI employees and members of the local community. Medical professionals conducted consultations, health assessments, and wellness counseling, while essential medicines were distributed to help address participantsโ healthcare needs. Through the initiative, EEI reinforced its commitment to making basic healthcare more accessible and promoting the overall health and well-being of the communities it serves.
Alongside the medical mission, EEI CARES also conducted a relief and livelihood assistance program for local tricycle drivers in recognition of their invaluable service and continued contribution to the community. A total of 80 beneficiaries received grocery packs and fuel subsidies to help support their daily needs and livelihood.
The activity was attended by EEI Corporation President and CEO, Henry D. Antonio, who shared an inspiring message emphasizing the companyโs commitment to creating meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of its employees and neighboring communities. In his remarks, Antonio highlighted the importance of compassion, collaboration, and corporate social responsibility in building stronger and more resilient communities.
โThrough initiatives such as this, EEI continues to create meaningful value by fostering goodwill, encouraging community collaboration, and helping build healthier, stronger, and more connected communities for the future,โ said Czarina Antoinette A. Cortez, EEI Corporation Vice President for People Performance and Culture Division, who was present during the activity. The event was also attended by Toni Venette R.
