BDP developed the 186,000 sqm research center for Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group (CTTQ), one of China’s leading pharmaceutical companies.

Located in Qianwan, Shanghai’s Hongqiao International Central Business District, the development includes two primary research centers, an administrative headquarters, conference facilities, and talent accommodation in one place.

The campus design drew on the structure of cells, with two pairs of interconnected buildings on site. Each pair was designed to resemble splitting cells, with glass-covered bridges connecting them.

BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group and Lutsko Associates are developing a master plan to expand the central Sea Ranch Lodge with a new spa and hotel rooms.

Renderings show a new spa with a redwood facade. BIG is designing 23 new guest rooms arranged around sheltered courtyards, located a short walk from the wellness center.

Today's is the Michigan Lake House, a four-bedroom home designed by Desai Chia Architecture PC in Leelanau County, Michigan.

The home is perched on a woodland bluff and consists of three offset structures that play off each other. A gathering structure contains the living room, kitchen, and a covered seating terrace, while two sleeping structures contain the master bedroom suite and three children's bedrooms.

The roof has gentle undulations that follow the movement of the surrounding natural terrain and reference the vernacular architecture of the nearby fishing villages.

Today's is the House of Shadows, a multi-generational home in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Designed by Cadence Architects, the home uses a predominantly dark, shadowy material palette. The home has a basalt stone base and concrete walls and roof, with a slatted timber facade that screens the living spaces while still allowing light and air to filter in.

The dark materials were chosen both for their robustness and their ability to help the home blend with the shadows of the tree-lined neighborhood.

Pritzker Prize and RIBA Royal Gold Medal-winning architect Peter Zumthor’s expansion of the Fondation Beyeler in Riehen near Basel was preliminarily opened to the public on September 26th, 2026.

Zumthor's expansion adds three new buildings, an expanded park, and restored historic structures that extend the museum beyond Renzo Piano's existing structure.

Zumthor has distributed the expansion's functions across the Wyss Museum, Ammann Pavilion, and Erlen Torhaus. The Wyss Museum is a three-story building of rammed concrete with Jura limestone aggregate, giving it a warm, yellow-toned facade. The Ammann Pavilion is a glazed cultural space, with glass walls in oak frames immersing the building in the surrounding park. The Erlen Torhaus houses the art logistics facilities and offices and connects to the existing museum via an underground corridor. The upper floors have large windows overlooking the surroundings.

The project also opens a formerly private section of the heritage-listed park to visitors, adding almost 10,000 square meters of gardens, meadows, trees, and water features to the museum grounds.

Peter Zumthor has expanded the Fondation Beyeler museum in Riehen with a cluster of arts buildings designed to nestle into the park setting.

A Frank Lloyd Wright home in Michigan is back on the market.

The Samuel and Dorothy Eppstein house is a low-slung Usonian residence, completed in 1953, within The Acres, a community that Wright planned for a group of Upjohn scientists outside of Kalamazoo.

Built for a couple of research scientists at Upjohn, the home features hand-cast concrete block walls. The couple helped fabricate some of the roughly 3,000 concrete blocks used in the construction.

A broad cantilevered roof stretches across the walls, while mahogany-framed glazing opens the interiors toward the surrounding landscape. The home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, built-in furniture, and originally Wright-designed pieces.

The Bejakitti Park covers 720,000 sqm of former brown space in the middle of Bangkok. Designed by Landscape Studio by Arsomsilp and Turenscape Design Institute, it is now a low-maintenance green lung for the city.

Located on the site of a former to***co factory, the park was designed to act as a sponge, retaining rainwater during the rainy season and discharging water during the dry months.

Cut-and-fill landscaping techniques created three wetlands scattered with hundreds of mini-islands. The tilled landscape turned the otherwise hard clay soil into a wet, spongy habitat that needs minimal irrigation or maintenance.
