Solar Trivia #8: Puwede Bang Lumampas sa Rated Watts ang Solar Panel? ???

Ang wattage na nakalagay sa solar panel ay measured under Standard Test Conditions (STC) — including 1000 W/m² solar irradiance at 25°C cell temperature.

Pero sa actual operation, puwedeng magkaroon ng conditions na mas favorable kaysa STC. Halimbawa, kapag very strong ang sunlight habang relatively cool ang solar cells, puwedeng tumaas ang panel voltage at magkaroon ng pagkakataong lumampas pansamantala sa nameplate power rating ang output.

Kaya ang 600W rating ay reference under specific test conditions, hindi absolute ceiling sa lahat ng pagkakataon.

Connected ito sa Solar Trivia #7: sunlight ang kailangan ng solar, pero excessive heat can reduce performance. ???

Solar Trivia #7: Mas Malakas Ba ang Solar Kapag Malamig ang Panahon? ????

Mainit na araw = mas malakas na solar? Hindi palagi! ??

Solar panels need sunlight, pero hindi nila kailangan ng matinding init.

Sa katunayan, kapag pareho ang lakas ng sunlight, generally mas maganda ang performance ng solar cells kapag mas malamig ang kanilang operating temperature.

Kaya minsan, ang isang malamig pero napakaliwanag na araw ay puwedeng maging excellent condition para sa solar production. ???

Solar Trivia #6: Bakit Mas Mainit ang Solar Panel Kaysa sa Hangin?

Akala mo ba kapag 35°C ang temperatura ng hangin, 35°C din ang solar panel? ???

Hindi!

Kapag direktang nasisikatan ng araw, maaaring maging mas mainit nang malaki ang solar cells kaysa sa surrounding air. At gaya ng natutunan natin sa Trivia #5, habang tumataas ang cell temperature, maaaring bumaba ang maximum power ng solar panel.
