Two-Storey Contemporary Tropical House Design

Project Title: "TWO-STOREY HOUSE RENOVATION"
Project Location: Banate, Iloilo
Floor Area: 198.34 SQM.
Owner: Sir Marino

A "Contemporary Tropical House", emphasizing clean lines, a sophisticated neutral palette, and a functional "inside-outside" flow.

The design uses "asymmetrical massing" to create visual interest. You have a heavy, solid volume on the left balanced by a more open, "floating" volume on the right. This cantilevered section not only creates a dramatic silhouette but also serves a functional purpose by providing a sheltered carport underneath.

-The aesthetic relies on a refined "industrial-chic" material board.

-The extended rooflines protect the interior from harsh direct sunlight and heavy rain while keeping the facade in shade.

- Using wood-look finishes on the underside of the overhangs is a classic "Tropical Modern" move; it reflects a soft, warm light back into the house.

- The large windows and open balcony are positioned to encourage cross-ventilation, reducing the need for constant air conditioning.
