Cebu City Air Quality Map

This map shows how current weather conditions are affecting the air we breathe across Metro Cebu between April 15 and 17, 2026. Using data from the Sentinel-5P satellite, we can see how the recent warm and still weather is keeping dust and city emissions from blowing away. The bright yellow and cream areas show where particles like dust and smoke are most concentrated because the lack of wind keeps them trapped close to the ground in the busiest parts of the city. In contrast, the dark purple areas represent where the air is clearer, which is common in open coastal zones and higher mountains where the air moves more freely. Mapping these patterns helps us all understand how our local environment and weather work together to affect our daily air quality.

As air quality in some areas has been noted as unhealthy for sensitive groups, please remember to keep safe by limiting heavy outdoor activities and staying hydrated. If you are traveling through the busier parts of the city, wearing a face mask can provide extra protection against fine dust and haze.
