We know everyone is feeling the pinch at the pump lately, but did you know those rising gas prices are also building your house? From the cement mixer to the truck delivering your tiles, fuel is the "hidden engine" of construction.

Here’s the breakdown of why costs are shifting:
🚛Logistics: Heavy hauling for sand, gravel, and steel now carries a higher fuel surcharge.
⚙️Production: Factories (Cement/Glass) require massive energy; when fuel goes up, prices follow.
🚜Machinery: Excavators and mixers run on diesel—higher pump prices = higher hourly rental rates.
👷‍♂️Labor: Transportation for workers is more expensive, leading to necessary wage adjustments.
💸Budget: For every ₱10 increase in fuel, expect a roughly 3–5% climb in total building costs.

The Math: A ₱10–₱20 fuel hike can add roughly 3% to 8% to a total house budget. On a ₱5M home, that’s about ₱150k–₱400k. 📉
