We are the Concepcion Family (Me - Jun, my wife – Anne, my eldest Yeshua who’s in the US and our youngest Yoran) and we have decided to re-imagine a new life for ourselves. In the midst of the grim stillness brought about by the pandemic, we realized that the conventional way of living was no longe
r serving us. Last year we decided to pack our bags and move away from the city. We have since lived the simplest yet the most glorious months of our lives. We moved to Baguio, a place where our son Yoran can move freely, go outdoors, travel and eat al fresco away from prying eyes. As parents, we are our children’s gateway to nature. We don’t need to tell them how to fall in love with the flora and fauna, and the landscape that surround them; they usually do that just fine on their own. But they do need somebody who will take them outside on a regular basis. We have been travelling the world for a few years now and we have become obsessed. We love everything about travelling, including the challenges. The limits to travel brought about by the pandemic has made us explore different ways to enjoy the wonders of nature. Camping is a new adventure to us. We have recently started investing in camping gear, one little step at a time. This way, we can provide an opportunity for our family, especially our young one, to engage and connect with nature, away from any gadgets.
