UPDATE: Pilipinas may pinakamataas na average na singil sa kuryente sa ASEAN noong June 2026. Mas mataas pa tayo sa Singapore dahil umabot ang average rate sa P12.43/kwh sa buong bansa. Ang average ng Singapore na dating pinakamataas ang rate ay nasa P12.34/kwh lang.

MVP turns 80 as Meralco inaugurates P200-billion MTerra Solar project

Located in Nueva Ecija and Bulacan, the P200-billion MTerra project combines a 3,500-megawatt-peak solar farm with a 4,500-megawatt-hour battery energy storage system.

The occasion is made even more significant as tycoon Manuel V. Pangilinan marks his own milestone, turning 80 after decades of building and leading some of the country’s biggest companies and utilities.

Successfully completed on July 11, 2026.

Project Highlights:
✔️ 12kW GoodWe Hybrid Inverter
✔️ 14.3kWh GoodWe Battery Storage System
✔️ 38 Canadian Solar 620W Panels
✔️ 23.56kWp Solar PV Array
✔️ Three Meralco service meters consolidated into one electrical system
✔️ Four NEMA panels installed to supply three Main Distribution Panels (MDPs) and one Solar Disconnect Switch

Despite the cloudy skies and light rain during commissioning, the system was still harvesting around 3kW of solar power—showing that quality solar systems continue to generate energy even in less-than-ideal weather.

We're now processing for the client's Net Metering approval to fully maximize the oversized Solar PV array by exporting excess energy to the grid for even greater savings.
