Hamilton East School | Day Two

And the second storey is up!

We originally developed this two-storey modular design as our own innovation, creating a two-storey modular solution that’s still relatively uncommon in New Zealand. That design was then taken forward with the Ministry of Education and adapted for Hamilton East School.

Now, it's playing a part in helping reduce construction costs and allowing more classrooms to be delivered to schools that need them.

Faster construction means less disruption on site and more time for our kids to learn.

Hamilton East School | Day One

Throwback to last month, when the first of the new classrooms was craned into place at Hamilton East School as part of the Ministry of Education initiative announced by Education Minister Erica Stanford to deliver more classrooms across the Central North Island.

Great to see our concept and design taking shape on site and to be part of delivering more learning spaces for our community.

What began as a prototype in our yard is now taking shape as a two-storey modular classroom building at Hamilton East School!

Spread across two days, the installation involved three cranes courtesy of Universal Cranes New Zealand, working together to lift and position the modular units, with the entire first floor in place by the end of day one.

Once complete, the building will include an internal staircase and passenger lift, decks and canopies, kitchen and toilet facilities, and accessible amenities across both levels. It will also feature a warm roof system and CLT flooring, providing strong acoustic and thermal performance, as well as a good fire rating.

Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the project is a strong example of how modular construction can deliver complex buildings efficiently.

🏘️Project Announcement | Te Kura o Waikare - 3 New Classrooms

We’re about to begin construction at Te Kura O Waikare, delivering three new teaching spaces to support the school’s growing community.

This new classroom block will include two teaching spaces, toilets, breakout areas, and a new technology facility to support modern learning.

Great to be working alongside Te Rerenga Walker and her kura on this next stage of their journey. 🤝

Great progress with the new Camp Waipu Cove Admin Building.

This new reception is being built off‑site now, then transported and installed in early July. A simple example of how modular delivery keeps programmes moving and reduces disruption on site.

Looking forward to starting the cladding and final fit‑out.

Exciting things ahead! A new modular project is on its way to the Hawkes Bay!

These modular classrooms were built off-site at the A-Line factory and are now loaded, ready for delivery. Working alongside Stead Construction, we’re helping support schools across the Hawkes Bay region.

Next up the on-site works begin, where the modules are connected, services completed, and the final internal and external finishes come together.

A true showcase of modular construction, proving distance is no barrier to delivering classrooms where they’re needed.

Project Update | Fieldco Foods Offices

This project has been a fascinating one, constructing a new build over an existing packhouse and office that remains fully operational.

The main office structure is now complete, with the curtain wall in place and window glazing underway. Inside, partitions and wall framing, including the admin mezzanine, are finished.

Upcoming works include external Indurabond cladding, first fix services, GIB linings, and installation of the feature CLT stairs.

Project Complete | The Gateway – Mangawhai

Excited to announce the Gateway project in Mangawhai is now complete.

Delivered in just four months, this industrial storage development has now been handed over, with tenants starting to move in.

The build consists six storage units, ranging from 124sqm to 165sqm. Each unit features a kitchen area, bathroom, and an inbuilt mezzanine floor; designed to make the spaces practical and easy to use.

Each unit also comes with 3–4 dedicated parking bays, adding to the functionality of the site.

We’d like to speak to someone who:

✔︎ Has hands-on experience running multiple commercial projects concurrently, across different stages and regions, delivering on time and within scope.

✔︎ Is a strong programmer, able to control overall construction flow, collaborate closely with Sales & Pre-Con on pipeline, and understands the detail that makes or breaks delivery.

✔︎ Is uncompromising on quality, compliance and client outcomes, with strong commercial/contracts awareness and Procore capability.

✔︎ Is a steady, no-ego leader who builds A-Players, communicates clearly, and is prepared to roll up their sleeves and follow things through to drive meaningful change.

Experience with modular construction is a bonus.

Farewell 2025!
