Over the weekend, I was talking with a couple who were exploring different concept plans. Each concept plan had a different build cost.

They were surprised that some homes, even with the same floor area, have very different build costs.

Often, it comes down to what you can't see on a floor plan alone. To get an accurate price indication, you also need to consider the elevations and site plan.

It’s actually a very common conversation, especially for people early in the process.

Sometimes, a short conversation can save people from making decisions based on incomplete information and setting out on the wrong path.
