We are a family orientated surfboard riders club, located at Ocean Beach, Whangarei Heads, Whangarei.

A beautiful morning, but unfortunately not suitable conditions for running our ladder comp. Very small waves. We'll try again next week 🥞😟

We will look to next Sunday for a possible comp.

Dear OBBC members

Please mark on your diaries Wednesday October 7th for the Ocean Beach Boardriders AGM.

It’s at the Manaia Club at 7pm.

Would love to catch up with you all for a beerzies and vote for our committee etc etc.

Shame we have been short on waves lately but not much we can do about that.

Keep stretching flexing and exercising to remain healthy and ready for when the swell arrives.

Results of our Ladder comp August 2nd 2026.

Great ladder comp today. The waves and wind cooperated until the Longboard final.
Winners
Open: 1st Clinton, 2nd Eli, 3rd Richie, 4th Zoe.
Over 40: 1st Eli, 2nd Duncan, 3rd Richie, 4th Clinton.
Over 60: 1st Rupert, 2nd Erik, 3rd Lew.
Longboard: 1st Erik, 2nd Rupert, 3rd Zoe, 4th Richie.
