**Making it happen started well before construction.**

We worked closely with engineers, surveyors and earthworks contractors to prepare the site and keep the build within daylight plane restrictions. Deliveries were carefully scheduled, materials ordered early, and strong supplier relationships helped us finish close to our planned dates.

Looking back at this custom Awakeri home for Dave and Christine, there was plenty to work through:

✔️ A small building platform on top of a steep hill
✔️ A design brief to capture the incredible views from every room
✔️ Major material shortages and rising prices
✔️ A tight timeframe, with our clients living in a small cabin through winter

**The key to making it happen? Careful planning from the start.**

We worked closely with our designer and clients to create a home that fitted the available footprint and their wish list. We ordered materials before construction began and set clear milestones to keep the build moving.

The result? **A home delivered on budget and two days ahead of the contracted completion date** — with the quality finish we pride ourselves on. It also went on to win a Master Builders House of the Year award in 2023! 🏆
