Recently completed windows in Khandallah, Wellington. The Cello in the foreground was my inspiration for the music. It’s such a large room the double glazed wind or s have made such a big difference to heat retention, noise from the road, and appearance.

Introducing Ed and Russell, our installation team. Busy working on some window installations. These guys are both experienced and qualified builders, and Russell is an LBP with decades of experience working on New Zealand homes. These guys can handle anything and nothing surprises them or catches them out. Working on older and Heritage properties like we do at The English Craftsman Ltd, there can often be unusual additions or repairs made over the years but these guys handle it all and will ensure that everything complies with the latest building regs. Today I attended the inaugural Industry Day for Master Joiners NZ at New Zealand Parliament there were some great speakers with some insights into the industry and economy but it was also great to reconnect with many member of the Wellington Master Joiners and meet members from all around the country.
Grateful to Allison, Phoebe and Aleximie for organising the day and for my free ticket randomly selected 😀

This client had extensive rot in the window frames and weatherboards, and wanted more privacy from the neighbours. We manufactured and installed a shorter window using the same width opening, replaced the exterior weatherboards, and lined and insulated the interior wall. The result is that the new window looks like it was always there, is double glazed and all carried out by our own team seamlessly. We can take care of the whole job, including painting, where other jobs like this would need multiple different trades to achieve the same result. So much easier for our clients.

Recently upgraded windows with modifications including double glazing and draught seals, all carried out in a sympathetic aesthetic for the period of property. Rotten weatherboards replaced at the same time and all fully painted inside and out.

French doors removed and replaced with a cosy window seat. Transformed a waste of space to usable area without losing the view. All carried out by our own team our own team and tastefully restored exterior to match the original seamlessly.
