First roof we've ever been paid for in sausage rolls. 🌭
Also the first time we've had project managers this demanding.
After more than 100 years on the Wellington coast, the local Sea Scouts needed a new roof. They'd received a grant towards the project, but it was only enough to cover the scaffolding. There was still a pretty big gap between that and actually getting a new roof on the building.
After speaking with a family who've been involved with the Scouts for generations, we decided we wanted to help make it happen.
🏭 Metalcraft rolled the COLORSTEEL right here in Wellington and donated the roofing materials.
🔨 Our Element Roofing crew donated the labour to get it on.
🏗️ Vertex then stepped up and covered the ongoing scaffold rental.
Our crew got on the tools and, as you can see, the Scouts kept a very close eye on the entire operation.
The best part is this hall now has a dry roof for the next generation of Scouts. Our crew are pretty proud of that.
Pretty cool what can happen when a community gets behind something. Huge thanks to everyone who put their hand up for this one.
