You’ve heard about damsels in distress - in this fairytale it was the castle that needed rescuing! 🏰

After battling the wild Wellington weather for many years, this roof was holding out for a hero.

Enter the Element team, who climbed the turrets, conquered the moss, fought off the rust and rescued this roof from a grim fate.

Now this beautiful Wellington home can rest under the sunset and live out it’s happily ever after. ✨

This Papakōwhai home wasn’t just ready for a new roof. It was ready for a whole new look. 👀🏡

The Element team has given it a complete roof reshape, transforming the roofline and giving the home a fresh new profile from the top down.

New shape, new roof and a pretty impressive transformation, if we do say so ourselves. 👌

Green had a good run, but it was time for a change. 👋💚

The years were starting to show on this roof, so out with the old and in with a fresh new grey finish — giving the whole home a cleaner, sharper look from the top down.

A pretty satisfying transformation, if we do say so ourselves. 👌

The blue was already there - it just needed a fresh start. 💙

This Petone home has gone from a tired, weathered blue roof to a crisp new ColorCote® Nimbus Blue. Same love of blue, just a whole lot fresher, cleaner and ready for plenty more Wellington weather.

Blue on blue never looked so good. 👌

The roof tape had given it everything it had. 😅

After years of dents, moss and patch-up jobs, this roof was well overdue for something a little more permanent.

Now, fresh COLORSTEEL® Gull Grey has completely cleaned up the look, with a bright new finish and a roof ready to get back to doing its job properly.

No patches. No shortcuts. Just a proper new roof. 👌

A 100-year-old hall in Evans Bay is looking sharper than ever thanks to generous Wellington tradies who teamed up to give the Britannia Sea Scouts - Wellington NZ a brand-new roof for free. In return for their hard work, the crew was kept well-fed with daily sausage rolls and home baking from the grateful scouts! ⛵

First roof we've ever been paid for in sausage rolls. 🌭
Also the first time we've had project managers this demanding.

After more than 100 years on the Wellington coast, the local Sea Scouts needed a new roof. They'd received a grant towards the project, but it was only enough to cover the scaffolding. There was still a pretty big gap between that and actually getting a new roof on the building.

After speaking with a family who've been involved with the Scouts for generations, we decided we wanted to help make it happen.

🏭 Metalcraft rolled the COLORSTEEL right here in Wellington and donated the roofing materials.
🔨 Our Element Roofing crew donated the labour to get it on.
🏗️ Vertex then stepped up and covered the ongoing scaffold rental.

Our crew got on the tools and, as you can see, the Scouts kept a very close eye on the entire operation.

The best part is this hall now has a dry roof for the next generation of Scouts. Our crew are pretty proud of that.

Pretty cool what can happen when a community gets behind something. Huge thanks to everyone who put their hand up for this one.
