The Wanaka Watersports Facility (WWSF) is a community facility, with charitable status, that provides a lake shore base for watersports. The facility enables the foundation clubs (and others) to encourage local and visitor participation, young and old, to utilise Wanaka’s unique recreational asset, the lake. The facility provides storage of rowing sculls and kayaks, a changing and shower area for

swimmers and other users, and an erg room for members of Watersports clubs. The WWSF is located on the lake front at the western end of Roys Bay. This positioning on the lake front provides easy and direct access to the lake for disabled users, rowers and swimmers. The building is clad in materials sympathetic to the landscape chosen to limit visual and environmental impacts.
