A great weekend in Tauranga for the Surf Life Saving New Zealand National Awards of Excellence, Leadership Forum and AGM!

A proud moment for our club, with Dawn Newson-Adams, James Burton and Julie Burton all receiving National Service Awards 🏆👏 A well-deserved recognition of the time, effort and dedication they have given to surf lifesaving and our wider club community.

Dawn also attended the Leadership Forum, connecting with other clubs from around the country and sharing ideas on how we can continue to grow and strengthen our movement.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such dedicated people as part of our club.

Congratulations Dawn, James and Julie, and to everyone recognised over the weekend! ❤️💛

17 sleeps until the flags go back up for summer, not that we’re counting!
You bet we’re excited. Things are all go, the system is primed, and today was no exception.

Let’s take a look at the last 7 days and what we have been up to.

On Saturday we welcomed our next group of trainee lifeguards into the family with Day 1 of lifeguard training.

That afternoon, your Counties Energy Search & Rescue squad were called out to support St John with a medical emergency on the beach.

On Sunday we headed to Kahawai Point to support and participate in the Coastal Classic. What a fantastic event and we are truely grateful for the donation we received from Bernie and the Kahawai Point team!! Well done to everyone who competed.
