Things are coming along nicely at our new Whitianga showroom.

Recently, the team from Love my Kitchen Benchtop were on site to template the benchtops, and the process is pretty clever.

Instead of relying on traditional cardboard or timber templates, they use a precision measuring system with a flexible wire connected to a rotating measuring head. A handheld measuring pen is then used to trace the exact shape and dimensions of the cabinetry and surrounding space.

The result? Highly accurate measurements that help ensure the new benchtop is made to fit the space properly once it comes back from fabrication.

It’s one of those behind-the-scenes steps that most people never see, but it makes a big difference to the final finish.

This kitchen embraces a bold, moody palette, with textured black cabinetry taking centre stage.

Our new Whitianga showroom is starting to take shape!

The cabinetry is going in, and we’re loving seeing the space come together. Crisp white finishes are being paired with warm timber detailing, a beautifully textured island and stone surfaces, giving the showroom a fresh, welcoming feel while retaining plenty of character.

There’s still plenty happening behind the scenes, with the kitchen and laundry still to be finished and the bar and storage areas still to be installed, but it’s exciting to see the space coming together.

We’re creating a showroom where you can see materials and design details up close, talk through ideas with one of our designers, and start imagining what could work in your own home.

You’ll find us at 1 Monk Street, Whitianga, with the showroom and office staffed Monday to Friday, 9am–3pm.

Can’t make it during those hours? Evening and weekend appointments are also available by arrangement.

We look forward to welcoming you and sharing the finished space soon!
