Heating systems, whether its diesel, wood or heat pumps, we take pride in our work
This installation of a solid wood fired boiler for a central heating system in Hastings was going to be on display in the garage.

so even though there are quite a few pipes doing different things, we did our best to keep it neat and tidy.

there is quite a few different options for fuel sources for heating systems, but most common are diesel, wood pellets, heat pumps and firewood boilers, like the one in the picture, and each system is usually tailored specifically to the customer.

the main components of this installation were supplied by Belle Comfort in Hastings

🚨 BURST PIPES… 🚨
Pretty much every old house will have one eventually. 😬

This one had been quietly leaking away for a while — and unfortunately, there was NO ROOM UNDER THE FLOOR to get in and have a proper look. 🤦‍♂️

So this was one of those jobs where experience, patience… and very good hearing 🦻👂 made all the difference!

💧 We tracked the leak down to UNDER THE KITCHEN UNIT.

Getting to it was basically “keyhole surgery” for plumbers 🔧😂 - carefully opening up just enough to get to the old galvanised pipe, repair it properly, and keep the damage to an absolute minimum.

✅ Leak located
✅ Old galv pipe repaired
✅ Minimal damage to the floor
✅ Kitchen left completely unscathed
✅ Another sneaky leak stopped in its tracks 💪🔥

And THAT is exactly what we do best - turning up when things have gone pear-shaped, finding the problem, fixing it properly and looking after your home while we do it. 🏠❤️

This beauty is a Stiebel Eltron Heat Recovery Ventilation System - and it’s installed in a brand-new home in Havelock North 🏡✨

And when it comes to heat recovery ventilation, this is a seriously clever bit of kit. 💨👌

🌬️ Fresh, filtered air
♻️ Recovers heat that would otherwise be lost
🏠 Helps create a healthier, more comfortable home
💨 Great for keeping the air fresh and circulating

🌧️ RAIN. MUD. OLD HOT WATER CYLINDER? Yep… we’ve got this. 😎🔧

We do our absolute best to keep every installation CLEAN, TIDY & PROFESSIONAL — even when we’re working in the middle of driving rain! 🌧️😂

Unfortunately there’s not much even a plumber can do about the mud!

But the important bit? The job still gets done properly. 💪

This old hot water cylinder had given an incredible 50+ YEARS of service 🫡👏

But eventually, even the old girls have to call it a day.So we removed the old cylinder and replaced it with a brand-new external model - and we got it done in a very short timeframe. ⚡🔧

The result?

🔥 HOT WATER RESTORED
💦 MUCH BETTER WATER PRESSURE
📦 LOTS MORE CUPBOARD SPACE
🏠 A TIDIER, MORE PRACTICAL SET-UP

We were called out to this Califont and it's performance issues. After a bit of investigating we discovered the inside was absolutely PACKED with cluster flies 🪰💀

Yep. Warm boiler + cosy hiding spot = fly hotel apparently 😳

Safe to say this customer won’t forget that smell anytime soon 🤣

If your heating or hot water system sounds unhappy, smells odd, or just isn’t performing like it should - it might be time for a check-up before things get REALLY gross 🤮🔥
