Good progress up at Cheshire Place.

This site’s come a long way from the first cut. We’ve been shaping out the building platform, sorting access, and getting the groundwork ready for what comes next.

Sloping sections like this take a bit of planning. It’s not just about moving dirt, it’s about getting levels right, managing drainage properly, and making sure everything’s set up to hold up long term.

Some pretty good views from the office this week too.

Because this region is worth looking after.

Every skid site we restore, every drain we lay, every road we grade, it’s not just about finishing the job. It’s about making sure the land works the way it should for the people who rely on it. Landowners, farmers, forestry crews, and homeowners.

Not the most glamorous job in the world, earthworks rarely are. But done properly, it holds up for years. Done wrong, it becomes someone else's problem to fix.

June's here. The ground's already softening up.

This is the time of year when poor drainage stops being an inconvenience and starts costing real money: damaged driveways, boggy paddocks, water sitting where it shouldn't.

The thing is, drainage issues don't appear overnight. They've usually been building for a season or two. Winter just makes them obvious.

If you've noticed water pooling on your property after rain, or areas that stay soft long after the weather clears that's worth looking at before it gets worse.
