Conference, but with a little Southland adventure thrown in! ✈️🥂

Alongside the Altus Conference, we managed to experience a bit of what Invercargill has to offer!

Hanna headed off for a pāua farm and gin distillery tour, finishing the afternoon with a cocktail-making class 🍸 while Mackenzie got to tour the Tiwai Aluminium Smelter — getting a behind-the-scenes look at where the aluminium used in our windows begins its journey.

We also explored some of the local sights and finished one of the days with a musical-theatre themed dinner… with Danny & Sandy making an appearance! 🕺🏼💃🏻

One of the best parts of the trip was getting to network, catch up and have plenty of laughs with fellow Nulook teams and our Altus suppliers from around the country.

A brilliant few days of learning, exploring, connecting and having some fun along the way!

A night to celebrate 🥂✨

Hanna and Mackenzie wrapped up an incredible Altus Conference in Invercargill with the Gala Dinner ✨ and an extra special moment for our team, with Mackenzie taking home a win for answering all the questions for the suppliers competition quiz!

A brilliant evening celebrating the people, businesses and achievements across the Altus network. We’re very proud to be part of it.

And yes… we may have celebrated accordingly! 🥂

Do you know what powers your aluminium?

Producing just one tonne of aluminium requires approximately 13–14 MWh of electricity. With that much energy involved, the source of the electricity matters.

Depending on where aluminium is produced, the smelting process may be powered by coal, gas, or renewable energy such as hydroelectricity.

At New Zealand’s Tiwai Point smelter, aluminium production is powered predominantly by renewable electricity from the South Island.

For architects, builders and homeowners, choosing NZ-made isn’t only about where a window or door is assembled. It’s also about understanding the energy, manufacturing capability, and supply chain behind the aluminium itself.

Choose locally made aluminium windows and doors from Nulook®.

When we say fewer emissions, we mean it, and we can prove it.
At Tiwai Point, over 330,000 tonnes of aluminium are produced each year, with one of the lowest carbon footprints in the world.

Around 2 tonnes of CO₂ per tonne of aluminium, compared to the global average of 13.

It’s not just better aluminium. It’s better by design.
