When the old asbestos affected roof comes off, and the new one isn't in yet…

That’s where AMR Team's shrink wrap system comes in.

It's a temporary, weather-tight roof designed to keep the property protected while work continues.

Check Before You Start ⚠️

Older roofing materials may contain asbestos. That’s why it’s important to check before you cut, drill or remove anything.

If asbestos is present, disturbing the material can release harmful fibres into the air.

Not sure what you’re dealing with? AMR can help identify and safely manage asbestos-containing materials.

When it comes to asbestos, check first.

We have been notified of a number of instances where waterblasting was carried out on roofs containing asbestos.

In a recent incident, a residential property with decramastic roof tiles was waterblasted. Debris was found throughout the property and inside the home. Testing confirmed the roof tiles contained chrysotile asbestos, contaminating both indoor and outdoor areas.

This incident highlights the importance of identifying whether asbestos-containing materials may be present before starting work, particularly on older buildings.

Asbestos myths are common, but understanding the facts is important.

One common misconception is that asbestos is safe if it hasn’t been damaged. While asbestos-containing materials may appear harmless, they can still pose a risk if fibres become disturbed and released into the air.

Whether through renovations, deterioration, or accidental damage, asbestos exposure can happen when materials are not properly identified and managed.

If you’re unsure whether asbestos is present or you’re planning work that could disturb it, don’t take the risk. AMR can provide expert advice, testing, and safe removal solutions to help protect your property and the people around it.
