Benchmark Homes Design and build architecture. In a world of constant change and chaos, let us take comfort in the concept of home.

A personal sanctuary that we return to at the end of the day. A space in which we are able to reenergise ourselves and be surrounded by those that we love, in a space that we love. At Benchmark, we pride ourselves on helping you achieve this sense of comfort. Working with you to turn your wants and needs into a tangible reality is what inspires and drives us to do what we do. Which in turn constantly inspires us to enhance what we can offer.

A great home doesn't end at the boundary.

Backing onto a peaceful reserve, this Halswell home embraces its surroundings with uninterrupted views, open skies, and a sense of space that's hard to find. Thoughtful design and an exceptional setting come together to create a home that feels connected to nature every day.

Meet Zach, our new Central Lakes Project Manager!

Having run his own building company with his wife for 13 years, Zach brings plenty of experience, a practical mindset and a genuine love for problem-solving and building great relationships with clients.

Outside of work, he's rarely sitting still. Whether it's wakeboarding, mountain biking, hiking, four-wheel driving or playing drums at church, he's always up for an adventure.

His wife describes him as adventurous, adaptable and generous, which sounds like a pretty good fit for the team!

And a fun fact? He's been meaning to learn the harmonica for years. Feel free to ask him how that's going next time you see him!

Great to have you on board, Zach!

Thinking about building in Wānaka? We'd love to hear what you've got in mind.

Plenty taking shape in Wānaka at the moment!

Last week we spent some time across a number of our current projects, catching up on progress and enjoying the incredible surroundings we get to build in.

Every welcome begins at the front door.

A carefully chosen colour, thoughtful design, and quality craftsmanship come together to create an entrance that's both inviting and memorable. Sometimes, it's the simplest details that leave the biggest impression.

Our Camden show home is really taking shape. Richard takes Glenn, our new Design Consultant, for a look around and a chat about what’s coming together.

There’s still work to do, but we’re already excited to open the doors and show you through. This is going to be something special.

A home is shaped by more than its design. It's shaped by where it belongs.

Nestled alongside the golf course and framed by towering pines, this home embraces its surroundings at every turn. Thoughtfully positioned to make the most of the outlook, it's a reminder that the right location can become part of the architecture itself.
