Something special is happening at Waihi Beach
This bach has been part of our family's story for many years. It's our parents' place, where we have spent countless holidays, and now, with our own children in tow, the next generation is creating memories of their own.
With its elevated position and ocean outlook, the site provides an incredible opportunity to create a home that responds to its coastal setting while continuing to bring the family together. The new home has been thoughtfully designed for our parents to enjoy every day, while providing the space, comfort, and flexibility needed when the whole family gathers under one roof.
The design focuses on expansive living areas, seamless indoor-outdoor connections, and maximising views, creating a home that is equally suited to quiet days by the coast and busy weekends filled with family and friends.
As the designer, it has been a privilege to help shape the next chapter of such a special property. Construction will be led by my brother and his team, bringing together design and craftsmanship in a collaboration we're all proud to be part of.
We're looking forward to sharing the transformation from a much loved family bach to a modern coastal retreat, designed for generations to enjoy for many years to come.
