Is your gas flame orange or red?

That's not normal -- and it's not something to ignore.

An orange or red flame means your appliance isn't burning efficiently and could be producing carbon monoxide. CO is colourless, odourless, and dangerous. Not exactly what you want floating around your kitchen.

This goes for everyone -- cafes, restaurants, food trucks, and home kitchens alike. If you're cooking on gas, it's worth a quick check.

The good news -- it's usually an easy fix. The bad news -- ignoring it isn't worth the risk.
