Sneak peek at our recent brand creation for Sunday Social St Heliers – a fresh mix of market stalls, activities, local finds and good times by the coast.

We drew inspiration from the relaxed, nostalgic feel of a coastal Sunday market – bringing together bold, confident type with a subtle vintage influence and a warm, earthy palette.

Stripes, simple graphic shapes and playful details take cues from traditional market tents and add a little nostalgia, while keeping the overall look fresh and contemporary.

The result is a flexible identity that can shift with each Sunday Social – from the changing themes and activities to the colours, imagery and people that make each one unique.

Coastal, relaxed, a little nostalgic and made for Sundays.

We believe good architecture is about how spaces connect and work together. The relationship between the outdoors and indoors is an important part of this, creating a natural flow between spaces and allowing the home to be enjoyed in different ways.

We love our ongoing work with New Zealand Kiwifruit Growers-NZKGI, particularly given the significance of the kiwifruit industry to New Zealand and the Bay of Plenty, where we’re based.

One of our recent projects was developing the visual concept and design for a Careers Map, created to showcase the diverse career opportunities available across New Zealand’s kiwifruit industry and inspire students to explore a future in the sector.

Working alongside the website developers, we developed the visual direction and design for the Careers Map, which was then brought to life as an interactive online resource. We later extended this visual concept into a printed, map-style brochure designed to engage students at careers events and expos. The brochure brings together careers across five key areas of the industry – orchard, commercial, post-harvest, science, and engineering and IT – creating a cohesive and easy-to-navigate visual experience that connects the different pathways within the industry.

A QR code links students directly through to the interactive online Careers Map, while the same visual language was adapted across pull-up banners to create a strong, recognisable presence in busy expo environments.

Natural textures and details that don’t compete with the architecture or the landscape.

When the setting already gives you so much, there’s no need to add more. The best spaces often come from knowing what to leave out.

PART 3 / 3 — Educare Early Learning Centres Brand

As part of the Educare brand refresh and rollout, we also worked alongside the Educare team to bring the new identity into their digital presence across social media and the website.

We creative directed the visual approach for the website and supplied the brand elements and graphic assets to support its development, ensuring the refreshed identity carried through consistently across the digital experience.

The brand’s colour palette, typography, imagery and graphic language were translated into digital applications that create a cohesive and recognisable presence across the Educare network.

From social media content through to website graphics and digital brand assets, the refreshed identity provides a flexible foundation for Educare to communicate with tamariki, whānau and its wider community in a warm, engaging and consistent way.

PART 2 / 3 — Educare Early Learning Centres Brand Rollout

As part of the Educare brand refresh and rollout, we’ve been working alongside the Educare team to bring the new identity into the physical spaces and everyday experiences across their 26 early learning centres throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.

From centre signage and staff uniforms through to stationery, printed collateral and other branded materials, the identity has been applied across a wide range of touchpoints.

The focus has been on creating a consistent and recognisable Educare experience across the network, while keeping the brand warm, welcoming and connected to the people who bring it to life every day.

PART 1 /3 – A refreshed identity for Educare Early Learning Centres.

We’ve been working alongside the Educare team on the refresh and rollout of their brand, bringing a more contemporary and cohesive visual identity to their network of 26 early learning centres across Aotearoa New Zealand.

At the heart of the identity is the Budding Bloom – a simple geometric form representing tamariki growing through learning, relationships and community. It provides a recognisable foundation for the wider brand, from colour and typography through to a supporting set of graphic elements and value icons.

The refreshed identity is designed to feel warm, optimistic and approachable, while creating greater consistency across the Educare network and giving each centre a clear connection to the wider brand and its whānau.

A home should work with the way you live.

For this farmhouse, we spent a lot of time thinking about the everyday — life on the farm, trips to the beach, and all the coming and going that happens in between.

The outdoor shower was a simple addition that came from that. Positioned to make the most of the view, it’s an easy place to rinse off after a surf or wash away the mud and dust after a day on the farm.

It then leads straight into the mudroom, making that transition from outside to in a little easier.

Just a small, practical detail, but one that felt right for this home and the way it’s lived in.
