Oddity's Tiny Shiny Craft Shed To comfort people when they're hurting & to preserve the memory of their loved ones. Why I do what I do. My name is Odette, and I am a stay-at-home mum.

The above photo is of my amazing husband and my wonderful children. The little guy (not so little anymore) between my hubby and I, has health issues and so we home-school. I really wanted to take the pressure off my darling husband so he doesn’t have to work so hard and do something productive with my creativity. Oddity’s Tiny Shiny Craft Shed was born. I’m learning as I go, lovingly making treasures out of people’s memories. Along the way I’m also learning about becoming more sustainable and less wasteful. I LOVE fabrics and up-cycling them. It gives me so much joy. Welcome to my journey

Sorry to my folks who are waiting on their sewing. I've been very sick with a flu like virus and it's hit me like a brick wall. I'm so so tired and weak. I get breathless and dizzy doing the most basic tasks. Today is day 6 for me so hopefully I'm coming out the other side. 🤧🫩😷

I recently bought some patterns from one of my favorite pattern designers. I had been watching her post these cute creations and dreaming of when I get a chance to make my favorites. I just finished this fun project this week. Lisa asked me to replace the body of the bear and to give him a hat and tie. She also asked me to make a cushion out of this sentimental cloth. Then she asked me to attach a butterfly button to it. I searched and searched but couldn't find one, so I made a brooch instead. It means she can remove the brooch whenever her cushion needs a wash. 😊
