Seahorse Electric Kontikis has acquired Wavefisher Kontikis, and has added the wavefisher products to the existing stable of Seahorse kontikis and winches.
Ben Felton and Mike Finnegan, started Wavefisher with the realisation that existing traditional kontikis were big and heavy, and they can be difficult to use without motorised beach transport. By using smart design and modern technology, they designed a compact, lightweight and easy to use Kontiki and winch, plus a range of other innovative accessories.
Ben and Mike has reached the stage where they had to make the difficult decision was to which direction to take Wavefisher, and after careful consideration, offered Wavefisher to Seahorse.
An interesting twist of history, Mike was the original co-owner of Seahorse Kontikis, before selling the business the the Scherer family, and now history is repeating itself. Mike said he is very proud of what he has achieved with both Seahorse and Wavefisher, and is impressed with how Phil and Tracey have developed the seahorse products and the excellent customer support they provide. Ben and I wanted Wavefisher to go to a good home, and we believe it's gone to the best.
Phil and Tracey said they have always been impressed wavefisher products, with their use of modern technology, like the Lithium batteries and Braid line. The Wavefisher will fit nicely into and compliment our range of electric kontikis and winches. We believe the Wavefisher Kontiki and winch is suited to people looking for a lightweight and easy to use system, and we also see the accessories like the autofeed traceboard, dropper rig and two line system being popular among current Seahorse kontiki users.
At Seahorse, are always looking at making kontiki fishing easier and more accessible to everyone, and we believe the Wavefisher products will help us to achieve this. We are re-branding the Wavefisher products to Seahorse, plus we will be offering the 2 year Seahorse warranty on all of these products.
