We are excited to show you through the progress of our home and show home in Maungatapu, Tauranga.

First up the entranceway, through the makeshift door and into this space designed to connect our guest suite (potentially Airbnb) and to set the tone for this home which brings the outdoors in with big windows right from the outset.

We chose our tiles from Eco Outdoor, a concrete tile that we love the look of against wooden flooring!

We are at the exciting part of any build, all of the spaces starting to come to life.

We each had many ✨wishes✨ for this build!

Given we had been living in this house on this section for years before we were able to do this extensive renovation, we had lots of conversations about what we would love and what would go where.

This was Simmos.

The pizza oven by the pool 🍕 and this week we’re excited to report it’s been concrete blocked and it’s happening!

There is nothing we can’t build when you’re creating your own dream home too!

It’s all coming together.

Creating a healthy home means thinking about what you can’t always see - the temperature, air quality, moisture and ventilation.

For this renovation, we’re installing a Mitsubishi Electric Lossnay system to help create a comfortable, healthy environment all year round.

Lossnay brings fresh, filtered outdoor air into the home while removing stale, moisture-laden air.

It has a heat recovery technology, which captures energy from the air leaving the home and uses it to pre-warm or pre-cool the fresh air coming in.

So in winter, we’re not simply bringing cold air into a warm house, and in summer we’re not undoing all our cooling work by pumping hot air inside.

Combined with good insulation and efficient heating and cooling, we are creating a healthy home.

Engage your builder early for your renovation and we will chat through all of the things you may not think about, but once you’ve moved into your home, you’re really stoked to have.

I recently had my first night in a Fraemohs home and it wasn’t just any Fraemohs home - it was the beautiful holiday home, the founder of Fraemohs, Monni, built for his family 40 years ago in Hanmer Springs.

The home had such a lovely feel and one thing that blew me away was that interior has never been re-stained and 40 years on is still in beautiful condition.

Fraemohs materials and craftsmanship do not just hold up over time, they get better with every memory made inside them.
