The right building for Taupō can be the wrong building for Ohakune.

Our patch runs from the mountains in the south to the coast out east, and the weather doesn't stay the same across it. A roof near Ruapehu has to carry snow. A site on the open plateau or out toward the Bay of Plenty coast has to stand up to serious wind. Those loads change how a building goes together, from the roof pitch and purlins to the bracing and the connections holding it down.

So we don't hand you a spec that happens to work in town. Every build is engineered to the snow and wind loads for its actual site, backed by the in-house engineering of the wider Coresteel network.

There is nowhere to hide when your client sells building products for a living.

ITM knows materials better than most, which made this one worth getting right. A building merchant store has to handle retail customers, trade accounts and stock movement without those three getting in each other's way.

Clear spans with nested purlins and girts and no obtrusive bracing help, because racking and forklifts do not negotiate. Bolted connections. Buildings not sheds.

Designer hands off to engineer. Engineer hands off to fabricator. Fabricator hands off to builder. Every handover is a chance for something to be missed, and it is usually found on site when it is costly to fix.
