👑 THE FLASHING KING HAS A NEW PLATE 👑

If you know Cyle, you’ll know he’s never been one to shy away from a bit of flashing… so we thought it was only right to make it official!

Introducing FLASHR — the new plate for MRC’s resident Flashing King. 👑

Cyle spends his days folding flashings, talking flashings, delivering flashings… and occasionally flashing a smile if you catch him on a good day.

So if you see FLASHR cruising around Taupō, give him a toot and a wave 👋🛻

And if you manage to catch him in a flash while he’s making a delivery, make sure you ask him about his flashing expertise. Hes clever what he can do with a bit of girth and a few folds! 😆

Professional flashers since… well, probably best we don’t finish that sentence. 👀

👑 MEET THE TEAM | CYLE – THE FLASHING KING

Meet Cyle, our man behind the scenes at Metal Roof Components.

Cyle is the guy helping make it all happen. Chances are, if you’ve ever popped into MRC, you’ve dealt with him. Whether he’s folding flashings, sorting orders or helping customers get what they need, his keen eye for precision and attention to detail is what’s earned him the title of MRC’s Flashing King. 👑

When he’s not behind the folder, you’ll usually find Cyle out working on the farm — apparently one job just isn’t enough!

Rumour has it, if you need your flashings done extra quickly, Cyle may be persuaded by a couple of Moro Bars. 🤫🍫

Good to have you as part of the team, Cyle! 👊

Asbestos remains New Zealand’s leading workplace killer, with around 220 people dying each year from asbestos-related disease. Even with everything we know about the risks, exposure is still happening on work sites, including roofing projects.

Asbestos Awareness Week (17–23 November) is a reminder for anyone working in roofing or construction: if asbestos could be present, it must be identified, managed, and handled correctly, every time.

WorkSafe New Zealand has practical resources to help you better understand the risks and keep your team safe. It’s well worth a look.
