Second pass with the top down in this paddock.

It's coming out of winter crop, kale and fodder beet, and going back into grass.

First job is the chisel plough or the top down, depending on how wet it is, to open the ground up and dry it out.

Then the discs, the roller, Mike through with the drill, and one more roll to finish.

Baling oats in Leeston with the Case IH LB434 XL.

These are headed to a dairy farm in Rakaia and into one of our big bale stacks. Two high, five wide.

For farmers going through a lot of bales in a short time, it's less plastic, less wastage and a more cost-effective way to do it. Open the stack up and feed out.

Loaders are in. Trucks and trailers next, then off to get weighed and down the road.

With a bale stack, we stack your bales and seal the lot under one cover instead of wrapping each one. You buy less plastic, have less to get rid of at feed-out, and it costs less than individual wrap. It's a cost-efficient option if you're feeding out a good volume of silage from one spot.
